Cosmos stainless steel cylinders, How To Clean?
Having great difficulty cleaning inside a liter (quart) stainless steel thermos Stainless narrow necked bottle I use daily for home brewed espresso with hot milk. Inlays side can ruin the taste now. Destroyed two thermos bottles before trying to bleach in 1'st, mild liquid dish soap in 2'nd. (Apparently, seals thermos were destroyed by the solvents.) Have also tried the bottle brush, but none quite stiff bristles to scrape the crud off. All the suggestions above success are welcome. Thank you!
I have an inexpensive solution, fast and easy! After washing with mild dish washing liquid and rinsing thermos bottle, pour a bottle of lemon juice in a thermos, put the lid and shake it and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Then add water hot lemon juice in the thermos until it is filled, plug in the lid, Shake It Up is well and let stand for another 5 minutes. If there is "crud" on the top edge or outside, just soak a paper towel in lemon juice and discard the paper towel soaked on the cruddy "part" for about 5 minutes. It worked well for me – let me know how it worked for you!
