We all know what the World Cup and we all have our favorites to win the tournament by FIFA in 2010, but I am willing to bet you did not know the story behind the story real cut and how it is done (and not to read the Americans, not a other cases, such as the Stanley Cup, where he started as a small cup and ended up being a bowl of cereal, well not quite anyway.).

After the tournament in 1970, a brand new section has been designed and drew the FIFA Cup World Trophy. He was chosen by an international group of representatives from FIFA who actually looked at 53 different designs before deciding to go with a drawing by Italian artist Silvio Gazzaniga.
The new trophy is 36 centimeters tall, and is manufactured in solid 18 karat gold. It weighs 6.175 kilograms heavier and no longer allowed to be owned by a single country, no matter how many times they win the tournament. The base of the trophy contains two layers of semi-precious malachite while the bottom side of the trophy this year and the name of each FIFA World Cup winners engraved on it since it was first awarded in 1974. Gazzaniga described the award as "spouting lines from the base, rising in spirals, stretching out to receive the world. Remarkable dynamic tensions of the compact body of the sculpture rise the figures of two athletes at the time stirring victory. "
