(UK) What does the group 5 on auto insurance?
My boyfriend is looking for a new car, he found Nice Rover something or other, and he wants to know how much insurance will cost it looked on the internet and found exactly the car he had seen the day before and he said: "Insurance Group 5" can someone enlighten us on what it means Oh thank you! and someone knows how big a job it would be if the head gasket is blown? (the head gasket has not blown, but the rumors are rovers are prone blown head gaskets and I was wondering how big a job it is to fix) Thanks
Changing a head gasket is in the eyes of quite a big job. Not one to do it yourself unless you have the mechanical mind. The only problem, if you take it in a garage is cost. They'll charge at least £ 600. to do the job, including parts and labor. My Rover 200 is about to blow its head gasket. Its a pity, because apart from that they are really good cars. Insurance is cheap, and they are inexpensive to run. More good cars to drive. The engines, their age and size, are powerful and economical.
