Cappuccino Shot

The Basic Cappuccino

The basic cappuccino is a drink 6-8 oz. It is composed of about 2-3 ounces of espresso coffee, 2-3 ounces of milk steamed and 2-3 ounces of frothed milk. Powdered cocoa or cinnamon is usually sprinkled on top to give a special touch.

Here are some tips and tricks to take your cappuccino to the next level of delight.

* To give the layer the cappuccino, you should let the rest of the milk a moment so the foam and milk can separate.
* Pour the brewed espresso into a stainless steel carafe or cups ceramic glass to absorb too much heat. The temperature of the espresso actually makes a big difference in the taste and the best machines even allow you to regulate temperature coffee because it is brewing.
* To prepare your beverage, use a demitasse cup so you can keep the proportions correct. First, add milk steamed into the cup until it fills about one third (2-3 ounces of milk). Then slowly pour the espresso into the milk steam. Finally, spoon in the foam to fill the last few ounces of space. When done correctly, the espresso should settle between milk and foam.
* Generally speaking, the frothed milk should be between about 150 and 170 degrees Fahrenheit. To make the foam easier, you should buy an espresso machine that has a foam adapter rather than a stick.
