What fabric, rope, wire will work better for draining water in a pot plant?
I'm inserting a 12 inch pot bottom drain in a plastic urn 24 inches tall patio without drainage holes. I want to drill water from the urn in the pot plastic, I am filled with soilless mix, a geranium standard three ivy geraniums, asparagus and 3. The urn will sit in the sun most of the day.
I used cotton / polyester rope in the past with success. The poly prevents water too wick in place and makes the ground soggy.
