The new trophy is 36 centimeters tall, and is manufactured in solid 18 karat gold. It weighs 6.175 kilograms heavier and no longer allowed to be owned by a single country, no matter how many times they win the tournament. The base of the trophy contains two layers of semi-precious malachite while the bottom side of the trophy this year and the name of each FIFA World Cup winners engraved on it since it was first awarded in 1974.
