What is the effect of water temperature for the filtration?
I measured the water temperature before mixed with powdered coal. The water was 24 degrees Celsius. Then I let it flow through my funnel with filter paper. I want just know f there is an effect when using different water temperatures ..
No, there is no effect of temperature on filtration. The filtration is determined by particle size, and unless you havde a range of temperature extremes, such as below zero or above boiling. temperature will not make a difference on the size of molecules / objects in solution. Except in the case of solutions with cells them, higher temperatures can lyse cells and their components can flow through the filter, whole cells wherease not.
