I'm kinda worried about a cut i have on my hand …?
I work at a coffee place in the downtown area, and it is known that there have been some junkies that shoot up in the bathrooms at my work … I cut my hand while changing the toilet paper dispensing int he washroom a while back … It did not bleed right away, and i washed it with soap and water after i noticed blood. Should I be worried for any type of infection or disease? What im really worried about though is contracting Hepatitis A or C or even HIV (because of drug users )….
If you did not cut it on a needle spent I do not think you have too much worry. There is a very, very slim possibility that you could contract Hep C but very unlikely. Some stores have become so aware of the needle freaks that they actually have a bio container asking them to discard safely. You should not have been able to cut yourself on a toilet paper dispenser. I would get that checked so it does not occur in the future. If you are dumping trash from this washroom be very careful. Do not reach in it. if you see something suspicious get a manager. I know that if I was managing I would not want any of my employees contracting a serious disease. I am almost positive you will be alright. It would take some strange circumstances for you to have contracted anything.
