I have an old Gevalia Thermal Coffee Maker Carfi …?
the coffee was stored for about two years, it goes without saying that I need to clean it and make sure it is safe to use, I use vinegar and water process, and how can I whether it is safe, its got a glass thermal carafe and is about 4 years.
I used my Gevalia coffee carafe for years to my cabin. They use the same element for heating the water than coffee, so to answer your question Yes, you can use the vinegar. You could also use CLR and follow the instructions for cleaning coffee pots.
